On the 8th, Lee Si-young shared on her social media, "I am currently pregnant. I wanted to share this news myself to prevent any misunderstandings or speculations that might arise in the future."
Lee Si-young explained, "During my marriage, we prepared for our second child through in vitro fertilization. However, time passed without the fertilized embryo being implanted, and discussions about divorce naturally began. As all legal matters were being settled, coincidentally, the five-year storage limit for the frozen embryo was approaching, and it was time to make a decision. Facing the disposal deadline, I made the decision to proceed with the implantation without his consent. I fully understand the weight of my decision and am prepared to bear it."
Lee Si-young expressed, "I couldn't bear the thought of discarding the embryo as its storage period was coming to an end. Despite the challenges in my marriage, the one thing that kept me going was the angelic child who brought immense happiness, hope, and emotion into my life. Being called 'mom' feels like the reason for my existence, thanks to this miraculous child. I know there may be many difficulties ahead and I've pondered various scenarios, but I believe my decision is worthwhile and deeply meaningful in my life."
She continued, "I am currently filled with gratitude for this new life that has come to me, and I am experiencing a peace and happiness like never before. I am open to any criticism or advice and will humbly accept it."
Lastly, Lee Si-young promised, "I am grateful for this baby who has come to me once again, despite my many shortcomings. I am committed to living a responsible life and ensuring my child lacks nothing, even on my own."
Lee Si-young married a businessman nine years her senior in 2017 and gave birth to their first son the following year. However, the couple ended their marriage of eight years last March.
