The powerful cast lineup for the returning 'Yumi's Cells' Season 3 has been revealed.

Amidst high anticipation, the Tving original series 'Yumi's Cells Season 3' (written by Song Jae-jung and Kim Kyung-ran, directed by Lee Sang-yeob) returns after three years. It continues the story of Yumi (played by Kim Goeun), who has become a star author, and her ever-loyal cells, as they once again grow and love as always. The series is based on a webtoon of the same name.

'Yumi's Cells', which received critical acclaim for its innovative combination of live-action and 3D animation―a first in Korea―has been beloved over the years as a seasonal series. Yumi's everyday life and love story, depicted with ordinary yet witty, realistic yet cheerful touches, have been responsible for many viewers' heart-flutters and laughter, earning it the title of a 'life drama'.

The comeback of Kim Goeun, solidifying the 'Yumi=Kim Goeun' formula, and the addition of trending youth actor Kim Jae Won have heated up the internet, proving its undiminished popularity. The reunion of trusted director Lee Sang-yeob with writers Song Jae-jung and Kim Kyung-ran further heightens expectations.

The synergy of reliable actors, responsible for both relatable laughter and heart-flutters, is drawing attention. Kim Goeun, returning as 'Yumi' after three years, is expected to captivate viewers with her dynamic performance once again. Yumi, who previously pursued a new dream as an 'author', achieves great success as a romance novelist who steals readers' hearts. However, love remains a challenge for her. With her 'cell village' seemingly on a quiet hiatus, devoid of any thrilling moments, the appearance of Soon-rok (played by Kim Jae Won) brings a fresh change.

Soon-rok, the man who shakes up Yumi's cell village, is portrayed by trending youth actor Kim Jae Won. With a sweet face but delivering harsh 'truth bombs', he is the new PD at Julie Literary Agency, a character with unexpected charm. Soon-rok, seemingly ruled only by 'logic cells', finds himself dealing with unexpected situations as he takes charge of author Yumi, whose 'emotion cells' are in turmoil. His performance alongside Kim Goeun, promising a heart-fluttering older woman-younger man chemistry, is highly anticipated.

Jeon Seok-ho also returns as 'Ahn Dae-yong', the editor-in-chief of Julie Literary Agency, who was instrumental in Yumi's debut as an author and is the husband of I-da (played by Miram). He leads a busy life, navigating through various challenges. This season also introduces new faces that catch the eye. The uniquely charming Choi Daniel plays 'Kim Joo-ho', the agency's leading author and a power extrovert, a new character not found in the original, promising to add fun to the drama with his contrasting charm to Soon-rok.

Meanwhile, Yumi's assistant writer 'Baek Na-hee', played by Jo Hye-jung, brings a burst of fresh energy. Miram, returning this season, continues to impress as Yumi's friend 'I-da', adding to the joy. Park Se-in transforms into 'Director Jang', Yumi's PD, adding realism to Yumi's life as an author.

The special appearances of actors from Seasons 1 and 2 also draw attention. Sung Ji-ru returns as 'Kim Man-sik', Yumi's father who always has Yumi on his mind, and Lee Yu-bi reprises her role as the irresistibly sly 'Lee Ruby'. The anticipated performances of these indispensable characters are already generating excitement.

'Yumi's Cells Season 3' is set to be released on Tving next year.
