Actor Park Ki Woong has opened up about his heartfelt emotions on social media, roughly a month after the passing of his father. Devastated by his father's sudden accidental death, he decided to proceed with the exhibition as planned, in order to honor his father's wishes.

On the 2nd, Park Ki Woong shared on his Instagram, "I had three exhibitions this year, and in July, I was planning my fourth exhibition with 100% new works that I've been preparing for over the past year." He revealed, "On June 7th, while in the final stages of preparation, my father passed away unexpectedly in an accident. Naturally, all plans were halted."

He continued, "At the time, I was with my mother in the countryside for the funeral rites, thinking we should postpone the exhibition. However, I felt that my father wouldn't have wanted that. He always valued promises above all," expressing, "It was as if he was saying, 'Keep your promise with the gallery.' So, I told my mother, 'Mom, I'll go do this. I'll finish it well and come back down.'"

Park Ki Woong described the upcoming exhibition as "the first time I'm presenting sculptural works in my career as an artist." He shared, "It's a project that my father, who was an interior designer, my brother, who has always been more artistically talented than me since we were kids, and I have been pondering and creating for over eight months." He added, "While working on it, I often felt as if the three of us were together, which made me cry frequently."

Furthermore, he expressed, "I'm not sure if I'm a good son or not. There are still many administrative matters I haven't dealt with, but since this project is the first and last I'm doing with my father, I really want to finish it well. I want to proudly show him, 'Dad, did I do well?'"

In conclusion, Park Ki Woong stated, "It felt like the world had collapsed, but I've come to realize that's not the case. Our family is still in pain, but next time, we'll greet you with a step forward. Please watch over us," expressing his gratitude.

Park Ki Woong's father, the late Mr. Park In-hwan, passed away in an accident on the 7th of last month. Due to the investigation related to the accident, the funeral was arranged two days later, and the deceased was laid to rest at Andong Memorial Park in Andong Cultural Park.

Meanwhile, Park Ki Woong made his mark in the Dramax series 'Anyway Thirty' last January and continues to be active as an actor and an artist. This exhibition will be his fourth solo show, showcasing another facet of his talent as an artist through sculptural work.
