Disney+ has just dropped the main poster and trailer for its original series 'Low Life,' teasing a story filled with tension and intrigue.
Set in 1977, 'Low Life' tells the tale of hardworking, everyday folks who are drawn to a sunken treasure ship, engaging in a web of deceit and betrayal. The project is helmed by Kang Yoon-sung, known for his work on the film 'The Outlaws' and the series 'Big Bet.'
The newly released poster features a stellar cast including Ryu Seung-ryong, Yang Se-jong, Lim Soo-jung, Kim Eui-sung, Kim Sung-oh, Lee Dong-hwi, and Jung Yun-ho, with each character looking in different directions, hinting at the tangled web of desires with the phrase "Deceive, take, survive."
The main trailer unveils the tense standoff and psychological warfare surrounding the existence of the treasure ship, as characters from all walks of life converge on the waters off Sinan. From Mr. Song (Kim Jong-soo), who holds clues to the treasure, to the greedy Yang Jung-sook (Lim Soo-jung) and Professor Kim (Kim Eui-sung), and even Mokpo police officer Hong Ki (Lee Dong-hwi) joining the fray, the stakes are raised. As one character puts it, "Trust no one on the ship," setting the stage for a full-on battle of cooperation, betrayal, and survival. The scene with Oh Hee-dong (Yang Se-jong) facing the treasure ship elevates the series' tension to its peak with its vast scale.

Director Kang Yoon-sung shared, "The charm of 'Low Life' lies in following the characters. With each new episode, new characters are introduced, and the plot shifts depending on their movements."
Lead actor Ryu Seung-ryong commented, "The elusive desires and the futility that are so well encapsulated in 'Low Life' really resonate," further piquing curiosity about the conflicts that will unfold around the treasure.
Disney+'s 'Low Life' will premiere its first three episodes on July 16, with a total of 11 episodes released weekly on Wednesdays.
