Scheduled to premiere on the 25th (Friday), the new SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'Try: We Become Miracles' (written by Lim Jin-ah, directed by Jang Young-seok) is a comedic sports drama about the unpredictable eccentric director Joo Ga-ram and the perennially last-place Hanyang High School rugby team sprinting towards national championship victory.
Director Jang Young-seok, who co-directed 'Taxi Driver 2', and writer Lim Jin-ah, whose script won the top prize at the SBS Cultural Foundation's script contest, have joined forces.
The cast includes Yoon Kye-sang (as Joo Ga-ram), Lim Se-mi (as Bae Yi-ji), Kim Yo-han (as Yoon Sung-jun), Kim Yi-jun (as Oh Young-gwang), Lee Su-chan (as So Myung-woo), Yoon Jae-chan (as Do Hyung-sik), Hwang Sung-bin (as Kim Ju-yang), Woo Min-gyu (as Pyo Sun-ho), and Kim Dan (as Moon Woong), all of whom are known for their solid acting skills and vibrant energy, raising expectations.
Among these, 'Try' has focused attention by releasing two main posters featuring a locker room meeting between Yoon Kye-sang, Kim Yo-han, Kim Yi-jun, Lee Su-chan, Yoon Jae-chan, Hwang Sung-bin, Woo Min-gyu, and Kim Dan.
The first poster reveals Joo Ga-ram and the seven rugby team members diving into a strategy meeting. Under dim lighting, the pre-game serious atmosphere is palpably conveyed.
Especially, Yoon Kye-sang, standing in front of the strategy board, showcases a suit fit while exuding a charismatic gaze, fully embodying the aura of a leader. The rugby team students, looking at each other with not a hint of jest, convey their resolute determination towards the national championship through their eyes. Moreover, the copy behind them, "There's always a teammate by my side," sets the expectation for the teamwork they will display.
On the other hand, the second poster completely flips the mood, showcasing the 'lively' rugby team. The charisma seen moments ago is nowhere to be found, replaced by Yoon Kye-sang blowing bubbles with his cheeks full, embodying the 'man with bright eyes' himself. Added to this are the vibrant personalities of the seven rugby team members, raising interest. From Lee Su-chan cheerfully filming a vlog in the cramped locker room, Kim Yi-jun solving a workbook, to Woo Min-gyu savoring the taste of bread with his eyes tightly shut, the free-spirited locker room scene is bound to elicit laughter. Most notably, the sight of team captain Kim Yo-han looking utterly bewildered amidst them all is sure to provoke laughter.
Thus, with director Yoon Kye-sang leading the way in blowing bubbles, the unique and full-of-character rugby team members' play and their sprint towards the national championship victory are gathering anticipation.
Set to fill the upcoming summer with the energy of passionate youth, SBS's new drama 'Try: We Become Miracles' will follow the currently airing 'Our Movie', premiering on the 25th (Friday) at 9:50 PM.
