Netflix's original series 'Squid Game' Season 3 has clinched the top spot in global TV shows for two consecutive days.

According to FlixPatrol, a site that aggregates global OTT rankings, 'Squid Game' Season 3, released on the 27th, continued to dominate the number one position on the 28th and 29th worldwide.

FlixPatrol calculates scores and ranks based on Netflix's 'Top 10' lists among other criteria, country by country. 'Squid Game' Season 3 has taken the number one spot in all 93 countries, including South Korea, the United States, Japan, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Brazil, Australia, Morocco, and New Zealand.

'Squid Game' Season 3 unfolds the final fate of participants who survived the brutal games, including Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), who loses his closest friend after re-entering the game with a purpose of his own, and the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun), who infiltrated the game while concealing his identity.

The reception right after its release was mixed. Even foreign media, which had been favorable towards Seasons 1 and 2, poured out harsh criticism for Season 3. The New York Times expressed disappointment, stating, "To justify a second or third season as a creative work, there needed to be something surprising. The characters, that seem to have derived from the long history of Westerns and war movies, are more one-dimensional and predictable than ever."

The Hollywood Reporter commented, "What was once a Netflix sensation has ended with a disappointing conclusion," and Variety criticized, "Season 3, with its repetitive structure and lack of new characters, fails to leave a lasting impression as the previous seasons did."

Despite this, 'Squid Game' Season 3 has shown successful numbers in terms of viewership, just like the previous seasons.
