Scheduled to premiere on July 25th (Friday), 'Try: We Become Miracles' (written by Lim Jin-ah, directed by Jang Young-seok/ hereinafter referred to as 'Try') is a comic growth sports drama that follows the unpredictable journey of a quirky director, Joo Ga-ram, and the perennially last-place Hanyang High School rugby team as they sprint towards national championship victory. The drama sees the collaboration of director Jang Young-seok, who co-directed 'Model Taxi 2', and writer Lim Jin-ah, whose script won the top prize at the SBS Cultural Foundation's script contest. The cast includes Yoon Kye-sang (as Joo Ga-ram), Lim Se-mi (as Bae I-ji), and Kim Yo-han (as Yoon Sung-jun), whose solid acting skills and vibrant energy have garnered much expectation.
On the 27th, 'Try' released its first teaser video on its official YouTube channel, showcasing the 'Try spirit' of laughing and striving for victory until the very end.
The teaser opens with a narration stating, "Rugby is about countless attempts and an unyielding process, which is why scoring in rugby is called a 'try'", followed by the spotlight on rugby star Joo Ga-ram (played by Yoon Kye-sang) scoring on the field.
Before the joy of scoring can be fully savored, the atmosphere takes a dramatic turn, sparking curiosity about what will unfold as the fallen rugby star Joo Ga-ram returns as the unpredictable and eccentric coach of Hanyang High School's rugby team. Particularly, the bewildered expressions of the rugby team members, including team captain Yoon Sung-jun (played by Kim Yo-han), as they look up to Joo Ga-ram's ambitious declaration, "Our goal is to win the national championship," are hilariously engaging.
The teaser further teases laughter with scenes of Yoon Sung-jun throwing punches, the rugby team carrying their coach on their shoulders in a sprint, and the team clashing on the field without reserve players. The sight of Hanyang High School's rugby team, lacking in concepts, players, and skills, meeting coach Joo Ga-ram, who passionately declares, "If we keep pushing without giving up, a path will surely open!" stirs anticipation for the synergy they will create.
Moreover, the teaser, with the copy "All we have is passion!" and Joo Ga-ram's hearty laughter, "Hahaha," captures the ears, while the rugby team's training for victory promises a dynamic and cheerful laughter, raising expectations. Additionally, the copy "Laughing and striving for victory until the very end" and the rugby team's triumphant roar hint at the essence of a heartwarming comic growth sports drama, skyrocketing anticipation.
Filling the upcoming summer with the energy of passionate youth, SBS's new drama 'Try' is set to premiere on July 25th (Friday) at 9:50 PM, following the currently airing 'Our Movie'.
