The SBS youth drama "Spring of Youth" (written by Kim Min Chul, directed by Kim Sung Yong) has been delivering a mix of touching and entertaining moments through its 'fate romance' centered around Ha Yoo-jun and Park Ji-hu, and the exciting synergy brought by its 'special cameo' appearances in each episode.
In the last episode, Park Ji-hu's character, Kim Bom, found it odd that Ha Yoo-jun's character, Sagye, exhibited behaviors similar to her deceased mother. She later discovers through a postcard sent by Sagye's mother that Sagye was the recipient of her mother's cornea transplant. This revelation led to a tearful moment where Kim Bom, instead of feeling sorry, tells Sagye, "No, I'm so glad it's you," turning the living room into a sea of tears.
In the upcoming episode 9, airing on the 25th (Wednesday), Ha Yoo-jun and Park Ji-hu will showcase their refreshing visuals in a 'fantastic duet' performance, promising an overload of sweetness. In a scene where Sagye tries to cheer up a gloomy Kim Bom by playfully suggesting, "Shall we play together?" and joining her in a piano duet. Sagye sends sweet glances towards Kim Bom, who, feeling cheered up by the music, smiles back warmly. The reason behind Kim Bom's sudden gloom and the backstory of this heart-fluttering scene are highly anticipated.
Ahead of filming this scene, Ha Yoo-jun and Park Ji-hu began practicing on the keyboard, their laughter reminiscent of children's as they played "Chopsticks" for the first time in a while, boosting the energy on set. This naturally led to the peak of their sweet campus romance chemistry.
Meanwhile, comedian Kim Min Kyung will challenge her acting chops beyond her mukbang genius by making a special appearance as a landlord facing Sagye, who has become a delivery driver. Her portrayal of the landlord who throws Sagye off his game during his first-ever part-time job is spot-on. Especially when she greets Sagye with a bright smile only to freeze him with a stern word soon after. The intense events of episode 9 raise expectations for the non-stop laughter Kim Min Kyung will bring.
On set, Kim Min Kyung showcased genuine vibes of a 'pro-orderer,' drawing attention. Her spot-on ad-libs and chemistry with Ha Yoo-jun dominated the set, proving her status as a 'general of laughter.'
