Group OMEGA X's subunit OX:N is making their comeback today, about seven months after releasing their second mini-album 'To' in Japan last year.
Comprising OMEGA X members YECHAN, JAEHAN, XEN, and JEHYUN, the four-member unit OX:N will host a comeback showcase at Gavin Art Hall in Gangnam, Seoul, starting at 7 PM to celebrate the release of their first EP album [N]. The showcase, lasting approximately an hour and a half, will be attended by 200 fans from both Korea and abroad, demonstrating the global interest in the group with a high participation of international fans, who were invited through a pre-application process.
OX:N's debut EP [N] is a conceptual piece likening 'the confusion of love and the pain of growth to an unsolved equation'. The 'unknown N' symbolizes each member's journey in pursuit of love and self-discovery, with the four members expressing the complexity of emotions and internal growth through all the tracks in the album.
The album's title track 'YOU' is a Y2K vibe pop track that captures the honest and pure emotion of falling deeply in love and giving one's all to a captivating partner. The funky melody and stylish sound blend the unique charms of each member, showcasing a new musical identity.
The album also highlights the active participation of its members. XEN contributed to 'LET ME IN', and JEHYUN to 'CAUSE OF YOU', adding authenticity and emphasizing their growth as artists.
Ahead of the album release, JEHYUN shared, "This album encapsulates the universal experiences of growing pains and the emotions of love. Expect a mature and fresh side different from OMEGA X."
XEN expressed pride in overcoming real-life challenges, emphasizing the significance of this unit activity.
JAEHAN conveyed confidence, stating, "While we aimed to show an idol-like image in OMEGA X, this unit will present a more relaxed and artistic side."
YECHAN sincerely hoped, "OX:N is not just a team but the backbone of OMEGA X. I believe that if this unit stands strong, it will shine even brighter when all members come back together."
This activity marks a pivotal moment for OMEGA X. Their Japanese mini-album 'To.' climbed to 14th on the Oricon Weekly Chart and 4th on the Daily Chart, proving the steady interest of their global fandom.
The agency announced plans for a world tour starting with this Korean concert, raising expectations for future activities.
Meanwhile, all tracks from OX:N's first EP album [N] will be released at 6 PM today.
