Wonder Women held onto their top spot in Group B by defeating the Nine Cheok Giants in a thrilling match.

On the 18th, SBS's 'Kick a Goal' featured a group league match of the G League between Wonder Women and the Nine Cheok Giants.

Before the match, the team's new goalkeeper, Mashima, expressed confidence, saying, "I'll block goals well and aim to score whenever there's a chance. My goal is to score twice."

Faced with the unexpected change in Wonder Women's goalkeeper, Nine Cheok Giants' coach Lee Young-pyo quickly adjusted his strategy. Initially, he planned to counter field player Mashima by deploying Heo Kyung-hee as a field player and switching Lee Hye-jung to goalkeeper.

However, upon hearing Mashima would be in goal, he reverted Heo Kyung-hee and Lee Hye-jung to their original positions, throwing a curveball in the game plan.

With Mashima and Heo Kyung-hee as goalkeepers for their respective teams, the match kicked off with an intense battle. Both teams struggled to find scoring opportunities.

The Nine Cheok Giants were the first to break the deadlock. Heo Kyung-hee made a breakthrough from the back and passed to Cha Seo-rin when a shot seemed impossible. Cha Seo-rin then found a gap and made a precise shot that resulted in a goal.

The first half ended 1-0, but the Nine Cheok Giants had another chance to score in the second half. However, a video review ruled it as no goal, much to their disappointment.

As the game neared its end, the Nine Cheok Giants began to play defensively, while Wonder Women pushed aggressively for an equalizer.

In a dramatic turn, Wonder Women's Woo Hee-jun scored an equalizer, resetting the game. The Nine Cheok Giants missed their chance to secure the win.

Regular time ended in a draw, leading to a penalty shootout. The Nine Cheok Giants were disheartened, having let the victory slip through their fingers.

Despite the audience's belief in the Nine Cheok Giants' advantage, goalkeeper Mashima blocked shots from Kim Jin-kyung and Heo Kyung-hee, while Wonder Women successfully converted all their penalty kicks, drawing attention.

Against expectations, Heo Kyung-hee could not overcome Mashima's defense, facing Wonder Women's fourth kicker, So Yu-mi. Yet again, Wonder Women clinched the victory.

The match concluded with Wonder Women's win, leaving the Nine Cheok Giants in tears for having lost a game they almost had. Especially captain Lee Hyun and goalkeeper Heo Kyung-hee were seen blaming themselves, with Heo Kyung-hee expressing, "The Nine Cheok Giants were truly at their best today. Today's loss is all on me," showing remorse.
