A court has ruled that all copies of a book published by a man claiming to be the father of BLACKPINK member JENNIE, aged 29, must be destroyed.

On the 9th of last month, the Uijeongbu District Court's Goyang branch ruled in favor of JENNIE in a lawsuit filed against Mr. A, who claims to be her biological father, and his publishing company, seeking to ban the distribution of the publication.

The court decided, "Any content related to JENNIE and her family relationships that has been posted on KakaoTalk, social media, or internet sites must be deleted, and no further related content may be posted in the future. This also includes prohibiting any broadcast or media interviews."

Throughout the trial, Mr. A steadfastly maintained his claim to be JENNIE's father. However, JENNIE's side submitted a family relationship certificate that listed a third person, which the court accepted.

Previously, JENNIE's representatives warned in December last year, "Illegal publications and fake news containing false facts about JENNIE's father have been continuously spread. These are clearly false facts, completely unrelated to the artist. We urge you to be cautious when purchasing such illegal publications and to take special care to avoid any harm related to this matter."

Mr. A, who claimed to have published an AI novel based on JENNIE's true story, is reported to have revealed himself as a former terrestrial broadcast producer, a film director who has shot independent films in Japan and the United States, and the illegitimate child of the founder of a large group.

JENNIE has shared through media outlets that she has lived alone with her mother since she was young.
