EDA (Espace des Arts), which translates to 'Space of Arts' in French, is a leading multi-purpose cultural and arts complex in the Chalon region, hosting a variety of performances, exhibitions, dance, theater, and film programs, and is also a national center for performing arts in France.
In such a meaningful venue, Jinjo Crew, having won last year's competition, was invited back this year as the defending champions. This year's competition saw the participation of new generation members who have recently joined the well-established team structure, marking a significant milestone in Jinjo Crew's efforts to nurture future talents and proving the effectiveness of their talent development system.
The participating members were Ahn Hoon (B-boy Dsleep), Ha Tae-young (B-boy 13boy), Choi Chang-hyup (B-boy Siri), and Kim Jeong-wook (B-boy Ogong), who are the next-generation members of Jinjo Crew. Through this competition, they have demonstrated their competitiveness on the global stage, building on the experience and skills accumulated through training with the existing members.
The EDA Battle featured 8 teams from countries including Korea, France, Venezuela, Ukraine, and various African regions, competing in a tournament format. Jinjo Crew advanced through the rounds, first defeating a coalition team of B-girls invited for the 1-on-1 battle in the quarterfinals. They then overcame France's 'Breaking Kids' in the semifinals before clinching victory against the technically skilled Venezuelan 'Galactic Crew' in the finals.
Through this competition, Jinjo Crew has proven their sustainable competitiveness in the international breaking scene and the quality of their talent development system. They plan to continue the growth of their new generation members through various international competitions and have several global activities planned for the latter half of the year.
