A suspect has been apprehended by the police for a series of verbal attacks against the 39-year-old singer BoA throughout Seoul.
The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul announced that they had arrested a suspect on the 12th at around 10:30 AM for defacing various locations across the city with derogatory graffiti targeting singer BoA.
The suspect, a woman in her 30s, is accused of writing insulting graffiti at about ten locations, including public transportation stops and digital billboards in the Gangnam, Gwangjin, and Gangdong districts of Seoul.
Police were able to identify her by tracking CCTV footage.
On the 5th, this woman was seen walking along Gangnam-daero with a handbag, writing slanderous messages about BoA being afflicted with a certain disease on utility poles, transformers, and bus stops.
When this incident was shared on social media, BoA's fans were deeply moved and said, "This would deeply hurt the artist if she saw it." They took it upon themselves to remove the graffiti, showing their dedication and support for BoA.
