During the recent filming of episode 3 of the new SBS Life entertainment program 'Queen of Taste Kim Nam-joo', Kim Nam-joo introduced some of her personal collection items, including outfits and shoes she wore in 'Misty', and shared, "The hardest time was during 'Misty'. I was dieting and exercising so much, I just wanted to cry. But at my age, eating and exercising just wasn't cutting it. I was 47 years old then, and I've had a child, you know."
She continued, "The clothes I wore then are hard to part with. They're too small. I was 46kg (about 101 pounds) at that time." She added, "I actually bought those clothes. When I was looking at outfits for the project, it seemed like I needed to invest early on. Clothes provided by sponsors just didn't seem to fully capture the character, so I bought them."
Kim Nam-joo expressed her love for 'Misty', saying, "Of all my works, 'Misty' is the one I love the most. It was a character I truly brought to life through my own efforts. It's not a character that comes naturally to me." She awkwardly admitted, "I'm actually more like Cheon Ji-ae from 'Queen of Housewives'. I'm quick-talking and quite affectionate."
"Go Hye-ran from 'Misty' was a character that didn't exist... Actors often say that. They take some part of themselves and use it. It can't be completely nonexistent. It's just not how I usually am," she explained. "Because 'Misty' was such a challenging project, I think I love it even more. I feel proud... I love all my works, but 'Misty' was worth the struggle... And the fact that the audience recognized that makes it all the more rewarding and grateful," she said with a smile.
Additionally, Kim Nam-joo showcased wedding dresses, award ceremony dresses, and shared her memories one by one, even revealing her favorite restaurants.
