At the production press conference for Netflix's series 'Squid Game Season 3' held on the morning of the 9th at the Grand Ballroom Halla in Seoul Dragon City, Yongsan District, Seoul, Director Hwang Dong-hyuk addressed the previous social media slip-ups by cast members, saying, "Of course, I was surprised."
He continued, "Everyone makes mistakes. You can't really fault someone for making a mistake. A mistake is a mistake, and forgiveness is forgiveness. What's done is done, and I think of it as a minor incident that we've moved past."
Previously, during the release of 'Squid Game 2', actor Park Sung-hoon accidentally posted an R-rated parody photo related to the show on his social media, and Park Gyu-young posted a photo from the set depicting an unreleased scene, sparking spoiler controversies.
Regarding this, Director Hwang said, "For those viewers who were disappointed or upset about the spoilers being released early, please see it as a small mistake. There are plenty of exciting elements in the show that won't be spoiled by these leaks, so I hope you can understand and look forward to Season 3."
On preventing future spoilers, he explained, "The individuals who made the mistakes have already suffered enough. They are well aware that such incidents should not happen again, so we haven't taken any additional measures to prevent them."

Meanwhile, 'Squid Game 3' follows the story of Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), who re-enters the game with a personal agenda only to lose his closest friend, the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun) who infiltrates the game in disguise, and the last fate of the participants who survived the brutal game. It's the final chapter of 'Squid Game', which shocked the world with its fresh setup and compelling story, sparking a global phenomenon.
This season, once again directed, written, and produced by Hwang Dong-hyuk, features Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Wi Ha-jun, Park Gyu-young, Lee Jin-uk, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-shim, Jo Yu-ri, Chae Gook-hee, Lee David, Roh Jae-won, Jeon Seok-ho, and Park Hee-soon, whose solid performances bring the characters' final destinies to life as they race towards the end of the game.
