53-year-old actress Kim Jeong-nan has lost her father.
On the 8th, Kim took to her social media to share the news that her father had passed away.
Alongside a photo holding her father's hand tightly, Kim wrote, "Just the other day, Dad left the hardships of life on Earth behind and embarked on a journey to another planet. There, he's being awaited by young Mom, Jang-gun, Mong-ryong, and our Shiny too."
She continued, "I hope that place is even more wonderful than Pandora. May every day there be filled with emotion and happiness. Farewell, Dad. I'm sorry I couldn't do better. I love you and was truly blessed to have you in my life."
Kim previously revealed on a television show that she changed her name out of a desire to protect her father. She said, "My real name is Kim Hyun-ah. Although my mother is currently with us, my biological mother actually passed away early. I was afraid that if my name didn't carry the connection with my parents, something bad might happen to my father too. So, I chose 'Kim Jeong-nan' between 'Kim Jeong-rye' and 'Kim Jeong-nan'."
