Actress Seo Hyun-jin has been caught in a rental scam.
According to a report by NewsSpirit on the 2nd, Seo Hyun-jin was unable to recover her rental deposit and took the initiative to apply for an auction in April.
As per the Supreme Court's auction information, Seo Hyun-jin signed a lease in April 2020 with a deposit of 2.5 billion won and completed the registration of her leasehold. She renewed her lease in 2022 for an increased amount of 2.625 billion won. However, when the lease expired in April last year, she was unable to retrieve her deposit from the homeowner.
Following this, Seo vacated the property after completing the registration of her leasehold rights on September 12th of the same year and began the auction process herself in April this year. Her agency, Management Soop, stated, "It's a private matter, so it's difficult to confirm."
Experts suggest that for Seo Hyun-jin to recover her rental deposit, the auction must fetch more than 2.6 billion won. Otherwise, she might face some financial losses.
