During the recent filming of episode 2 of the new SBS Life entertainment program 'Queen of Taste Kim Nam-joo,' Kim introduced everything from her wedding ring to watches and bags as her cherished possessions.
Among Kim Nam-joo's treasures were clothes her children wore as babies. Kim shared, "The most precious things in this house aren't my trophies or dresses," she joked, "I'm a mom with a perfect score of 200, having given birth to my first child in 2005 and then my second son in 2008. My apologies!"
Kim expressed, "I've found more happiness in being a mother than an actress," as she introduced her first daughter's baby clothes and shoes, kept for nearly 20 years. "Some people wonder why you'd buy so much for kids who grow up so fast, but I wanted to give them what I never had," she reflected. "The kids might not remember, but it was for my satisfaction. It's like dressing up a doll. I miss those days."
She then showed off the outfit her son wore for his 100-day celebration, along with his photo. "He wore this for his 100-day party. He couldn't hold his head up well," she said with a happy smile. Following her son, she also shared a photo of her daughter, commenting, "Her hairstyle looks like she's five." When asked who the children resemble, she smiled and said, "Don't they look like me? They used to resemble (Kim) Seung-woo when he was younger. Now, it's a mix of both of us."
Kim mused, "As a new mom, you just pray for your kids to be healthy when they're young. But as they grow, you start to have your own desires for them. You want them to do well in everything... There's no limit to a parent's ambition, but looking back, I'm just thankful they've grown up healthy."
'Queen of Taste Kim Nam-joo' is a project where Kim Nam-joo shares her life and everything in it with the public, while also cultivating her taste. In addition to Kim Nam-joo's cherished items, the second episode of 'Queen of Taste Kim Nam-joo,' featuring guest Ralral, will air on the 29th (Thursday) at 8:40 PM.
