SBS's youth drama 'Spring of Youth' (written by Kim Min-chul, directed by Kim Sung-yong) follows the story of Sa-gye (played by Ha Yoo-jun), a star of the top K-pop band group, who is ousted from the team and, through twists and turns, starts college life where he fatefully meets Kim Bom (played by Park Ji-hu) and makes a splendid comeback in this youth music romance.
According to the OTT ranking site 'Flix Patrol', 'Spring of Youth' ranked 5th in the US on Rakuten Viki's TV SHOW section as of May 12, proving the drama's power extending to the Americas. Additionally, it has consistently ranked in the TOP10 of Netflix Indonesia's TV SHOW section (according to Flix Patrol, from May 8 to May 12) and even secured the 2nd spot in Indonesia's leading OTT video in the TV SHOW section (according to Flix Patrol, on May 12), leading a strong 'Spring of Youth' craze in Indonesia.
In the broadcast of episode 2, following Sa-gye, Seo Tae-yang (played by Lee Seung-hyub) also became a lodger at Kim Bom's house, drawing attention. Furthermore, Seo Tae-yang, now sharing a room with Sa-gye, dropped a bombshell saying, "Bom liked me first. Since middle school. Let's play fair."
In the upcoming episode 3 of 'Spring of Youth', Ha Yoo-jun and Lee Seung-hyub are set to engage in a fierce rooftop confrontation, escalating the tension. The scene, where the two meet on the rooftop and exchange heavy warnings, was featured in the episode 3 teaser and received a hot response.
Sa-gye, with a serious face devoid of his usual playful demeanor, declares, "Just because you liked someone first doesn't mean you get to have them," to which Seo Tae-yang responds with a fiery gaze. The two then come face-to-face, nearly coming to blows, ramping up the anticipation for their ongoing 'rival match'.
The 'confrontation match' scene between Ha Yoo-jun and Lee Seung-hyub was shot on location, where the distinct temperature difference between the two shone through. As soon as filming started, the two, initially on guard with sharp demeanors, burst into laughter the moment "cut" was called, showcasing their warm senior-junior chemistry. Thanks to the efforts of both actors, a scene bursting with intensity was perfectly captured.
The production team shared, "In episode 3, airing on the 14th (Wednesday), the love triangle between Kim Bom, Sa-gye, and Seo Tae-yang will officially take shape. We ask for your high expectations as Ha Yoo-jun and Lee Seung-hyub are set to unleash their accumulated charisma."
