The movie 'Hi-5', directed by Kang Hyeong-cheol, has moved up its release date by four days to May 30th.
On the 9th, the film's distributor NEW announced that 'Hi-5' will now premiere on May 30th. Originally scheduled for a June 3rd release, it seems the decision to move up the date was made to capitalize on the early presidential election and the Memorial Day holiday, creating a long weekend in June. Similarly, 'Big Deal' also shifted its release from June 3rd to May 30th.
'Hi-5' tells the comedic action-packed story of five individuals who, after undergoing organ transplants, accidentally gain unique superpowers. They find themselves up against those who seek to exploit their abilities. Directed by Kang Hyeong-cheol, known for hits like 'Speed Scandal' and 'Sunny', the film stars Lee Jae-in, Ahn Jae-hong, Ra Mi-ran, Yoo Ah-in, Kim Hee-won, Oh Jung-se, and Park Jin-young.
With this move, 'Hi-5' and 'Big Deal' are now set to go head-to-head at the box office on May 30th. As the June long weekend approaches, a fierce battle for audience favor is anticipated.
