Former girl group DIA member and singer Ahn Som Yi has announced she is taking legal action against those spreading malicious rumors about her.
Ahn Som Yi's agency, Modernberry Korea, stated on the 7th, "The rumors circulated by an anonymous user on the online community DC Inside yesterday are entirely false, constituting a clear case of defamation and infringement of personal rights." The agency warned, "These rumors not only damage Ahn Som Yi's reputation but also harm the honor of related third parties. We have decided to file a lawsuit through our legal representative and are preparing for a strong legal response."
Ahn Som Yi has been entangled in malicious rumors, including being labeled as a 'high-end hostess worker' and involved in 'idol sponsorship' allegations, which she has repeatedly emphasized are baseless.
The Modernberry team stated, "These claims are not only untrue but are malicious fabrications. Although the original posts have been deleted, we have received numerous pieces of evidence from netizens and intend to respond firmly."
After joining DIA in 2017 and concluding her activities with the group, Ahn Som Yi transitioned to a career as a BJ (streamer). She is currently involved in producing a boy group set to launch in 2028 under Modernberry.
