Actor Cho Jung-seok is set to embark on another laughter hunt this summer.

Investment and distribution company NEW announced on the 1st that the movie 'My Daughter Is a Zombie', based on the popular Naver webtoon of the same name, is slated for a July release.

'My Daughter Is a Zombie' is a comedic drama about a doting father who goes into top-secret training to protect his daughter, who has become the last remaining zombie on Earth. The newly released launch poster, which at first glance appears affectionate but slightly off, captures the attention with the father and daughter's peculiar appearance. The desperate expression of the father, 'Jeong-hwan' (played by Cho Jung-seok), trying frantically to hide his daughter 'Su-a' (played by Choi Yu-ri)'s face, raises curiosity. Meanwhile, the fiercely glowing eyes of 'Su-a', peeking through the tightly drawn hood, hint that she is no ordinary daughter.

The ironic copy "Our kid doesn't bite" elicits laughter, while sparking curiosity about whether father 'Jeong-hwan's intense training to tame his My Daughter Is a Zombie, more daunting than tigers and more challenging than adolescence, will be successful.

'My Daughter Is a Zombie', a film adaptation of the critically acclaimed and popular Naver webtoon by author Lee Yoon-chang, has been a hot topic from the casting news alone. Leading the cast is Cho Jung-seok, a trusted actor who has delivered refreshing laughter in summer theaters with movies like 'Exit' and 'Pilot', along with veteran actress Lee Jung-eun, who has shown unparalleled presence in every project from 'Parasite' to the recent drama 'Heavenly Ever After', passionate actress Cho Yeo-jeong, known for her bold challenges in 'Obsessed', 'Parasite', 'Hidden Face', and unique actor Yoon Kyung-ho, who has been a scene-stealer in numerous works and recently showcased irreplaceable charm in 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call', completing a lineup with perfect character synchronization.

Adding to the cast, Choi Yu-ri, who made a mark as the younger version of actress Kim Tae-ri in the 'Space Sweepers' series, joins Cho Jung-seok to present a special father-daughter chemistry never seen before.

Last summer, Cho Jung-seok became the king of the summer box office with a hit of 4.7 million viewers for 'Pilot'. This summer, he throws his hat in the ring once again with 'My Daughter Is a Zombie'.

'My Daughter Is a Zombie' is directed by Phil Gamseong, who has been praised for his engaging direction in works like 'Hostage: Missing Celebrity' and 'A Bloody Lucky Day', and produced by Studio N, known for hit series such as 'Sweet Home', 'Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born', and 'The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call'.

'My Daughter Is a Zombie' will meet audiences in theaters nationwide this July.
