Kim Se-ui, head of the YouTube channel Hover Lab, has been additionally sued by actor Kim Soo-hyun over stalking allegations.
On the 30th, LKB & Partners, the legal representative for Kim Soo-hyun and his agency Gold Medalist, stated, "The continuous and repetitive dissemination of false information about actor Kim Soo-hyun constitutes stalking. We have already filed a complaint against Mr. Kim for violating the Stalking Punishment Act on the 1st."
According to LKB & Partners, the Seoul District Court issued a 'temporary injunction' on the 23rd, ordering Kim Se-ui to cease his stalking activities against Kim Soo-hyun. However, Kim Soo-hyun's side claims that despite receiving this court order, Kim Se-ui continued to spread false information about Kim Soo-hyun through his YouTube channel.
Previously, Hover Lab claimed that the late actress Kim Sae-ron had been in a relationship with Kim Soo-hyun since she was 15 years old in 2015, for a duration of six years. They also held a press conference, revealing parts of KakaoTalk messages they claimed were exchanged between Kim Sae-ron and Kim Soo-hyun in 2016. However, shortly after the press conference, it was alleged that the KakaoTalk messages were manipulated and the person conversing with Kim Sae-ron was not Kim Soo-hyun but an unidentified individual.
Kim Soo-hyun's side has acknowledged that he dated Kim Sae-ron when she was 20 years old for about a year, but denied that they dated when she was a minor. They have taken legal action against Mr. Kim and the family of Kim Sae-ron.
Kim Soo-hyun has also filed charges against Hover Lab for violations of the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (distribution of filmed content without consent), threats, and has filed a lawsuit claiming damages of 12 billion won.
