The Netflix series 'Dear Hongrang,' starring actors Lee Jae-wook and Jo Bo-ah, has released its main poster and trailer.

The story unfolds with the return of 'Hong-rang,' the son of the greatest merchant family in Joseon, who had been missing for 12 years with no memory of his past. Only his half-sister 'Jae-i' suspects the truth about him, amidst the budding, inexplicable feelings between them. This mystery melodrama period drama 'Dear Hongrang' revealed its main poster and trailer on the 30th.

The main poster captures the attention with 'Hong-rang' (Lee Jae-wook) embracing 'Jae-i' (Jo Bo-ah) from behind, pulling back a bowstring. The image of the two leaning on each other raises curiosity about who the target of the arrow might be, while also hinting at the complex relationship between them, filled with suspicion, caution, and unidentifiable emotions.

Additionally, the figure of 'Mu-jin' (Jung Ga-ram), looking on from a distance, heightens curiosity about his narrative, having spent 12 years as the adopted son of the 'Min merchant family' in place of the missing 'Hong-rang.' The presence of 'Hong-rang's biological mother 'Min Yeon-ui' (Uhm Ji-won) and 'Shim Yeol-guk' (Park Byung-eun), the rival of the 'Min merchant family' and father of 'Hong-rang' and 'Jae-i,' stirs intrigue about the events that will unfold as the long-lost son returns, entangling them all.

The main trailer begins with 'Hong-rang' appearing at the 'Min merchant family' after 12 years, his features matching perfectly with those of the 'Hong-rang' who disappeared all those years ago. While everyone believes him to be the real deal, only 'Jae-i' doubts the authenticity of 'Hong-rang,' who remembers nothing. The scene of 'Hong-rang' aiming an arrow at 'Jae-i,' standing on a roof, without hesitation, and 'Jae-i's' conviction that he is an imposter, "That's supposed to be Hong-rang?" hints at a tense standoff and conflict between them.

Meanwhile, 'Mu-jin' also doubts 'Hong-rang's' identity and begins to investigate his past, while 'Hong-rang' himself seems to struggle with trauma, even as he skillfully battles unknown enemies. The subsequent scenes, including 'Hong-rang' protecting 'Jae-i' from foes, the king's brother and artist 'Han Pyeong-daegun' (Kim Jae-wook) with his extraordinary aesthetic eye, and a mysterious white-haired hermit, promise an unpredictable and thrilling progression of 'Dear Hongrang's' story and mysteries.

Finally, 'Jae-i's' words, "Whether you're real or not, I just wish you wouldn't hurt anymore," alongside the image of 'Hong-rang' and 'Jae-i' looking at each other on a snow-covered ground, spark interest in how their relationship will evolve.

Amidst deep suspicions and unidentifiable emotions between 'Hong-rang' and 'Jae-i,' along with the secrets and plans of 'Mu-jin,' 'Min Yeon-ui,' and 'Shim Yeol-guk,' the mystery melodrama period drama 'Dear Hongrang' promises an engaging story. It is set to premiere on Netflix on May 16th (Friday) at 4 PM.
