Singer CHUU is teasing a brand-new side of herself in 'The Devil's Plan 2'.

During a press conference for the Netflix variety show 'The Devil's Plan: Death Room' (hereafter 'The Devil's Plan 2') held at Hotel Naru Seoul MGallery in Mapo-gu, Seoul, on the morning of the 29th, CHUU shared, "I had a blast watching season 1 of 'Devil's Plan' and felt a strong desire to dive into the survival game myself. I mustered up the courage to show a new side of me as a player."

CHUU continued, "I've never really played board games or brain games before, but I found them incredibly fun. It seemed harder than season 1, and I experienced some headaches. Things didn't go as smoothly as I had hoped," she revealed, sharing her struggles.

'The Devil's Plan' is a brain survival game created by Jung Jong-yeon PD, known for 'Genius Game', 'Great Escape', and 'High School Mystery Club'. Players from various professions live together for seven days to compete and determine the ultimate brain. Season 1 was beloved worldwide for its intense intellectual battles, diverse human drama, and shifting alliances and betrayals. This season, 14 players will compete.

Fans are eager to see how CHUU, known for her ever-smiling face and positive energy, will adapt to the cutthroat world of game survival. But there is concern she might only be targeted by other players.

Addressing this, CHUU said, "I didn't plan to play the game as the cheerful character people are used to seeing on stage or TV. Watching season 1, I developed a bit of ambition. I wanted to do really well in season 2, approaching the game with a serious, no-nonsense attitude." CHUU added, "I started preparing for 'The Devil's Plan 2' while on an international tour. I bought all sorts of puzzle books and Sudoku, staying up nights to solve them. I even asked friends what games might come up," she shared about her preparation process. "My manager was worried about how I'd handle the game or if I'd be too aggressive. But I joined with a strong desire to compete fiercely."

'The Devil's Plan 2' features a diverse cast, including 'Go legend' Lee Sedol, who gained global fame by defeating AlphaGo; actor Justin H. Min, known for 'The Umbrella Academy'; Super Junior member KyuHyun, active in musicals and shows; former JTBC announcer and American CPA Kang Ji-young; KAIST graduate and actress Yoon So-hee; professional poker player and music producer Seven High; Miss Korea winner and college student Lee Seung-hyun; Seoul National University influencer Jung Hyun-kyu; KAIST model Choi Hyun-jun; and singer CHUU, showcasing her versatility. Additionally, plastic surgeon Kim Ha-rin, 2021 International Physics Olympiad gold medalist Park Sang-yeon, M&A specialist lawyer Son Eun-yu, and board game master Tino, were selected from over a thousand applicants to compete in this brain survival game.

'The Devil's Plan 2' will premiere its first four episodes on May 6th, followed by episodes 5-9 in the second week, and episodes 10-12 in the third week.
