TV personality Seo Yu-ri, 40, has directly refuted rumors of bankruptcy and personal rehabilitation, stating they are not true.
On the 28th, Seo Yu-ri shared through her social media account, "I've been continuously engaged in various activities, including game voice-overs and appearances on terrestrial TV programs. However, I'm still in the process of resolving debts incurred from past relationships, and not all situations have been fully resolved yet."
Seo Yu-ri, who divorced director Choi Byung-gil last June, was reportedly unable to recover a settlement of 300 million won due to Choi's personal bankruptcy.
Regarding this, Seo Yu-ri explained, "The difficulty intensified as I failed to receive the settlement from my ex-husband by the end of last December. I do not wish to file for bankruptcy or undergo rehabilitation procedures. Although the debt was not incurred by me personally, I believe I bear some responsibility and intend to fulfill my obligations to the end."
Seo Yu-ri emphasized her ongoing economic activities and pleaded, "I earnestly request that you refrain from sensationalizing or consuming unverified information."
Seo Yu-ri married director Choi in 2019 but divorced last June, with no children between them. She has previously disclosed that she repaid a loan of 1.14 billion won incurred during their marriage and has made it clear she intends to pay off any additional debts.
