'The Haunted Palace' stars Yook Sung-jae and Kim Ji-yeon face something ominous in the shadowy depths of the palace.

The SBS Friday-Saturday drama 'The Haunted Palace' (written by Yoon Soo-jung, directed by Yoon Sung-sik) is a fantasy romantic comedy where Yeori, a shaman who denies her fate, and Kang Chul-yi, trapped in the body of Yeori's first love Yoon Gap, confront a vengeful eight-foot-tall ghost, entangling their bodies and souls in a complex web. The intriguing premise of a dragon and a shaman, along with the inspired character play by Yook Sung-jae (as Kang Chul-yi/Yoon Gap), Kim Ji-yeon (as Yeori), and Kim Ji-hoon (as Lee Jung), mixed with the spine-chilling presence of K-ghosts and palace mysteries, has whipped up a ratings storm, hitting a peak viewership of 10.7% nationwide, 9.2% in the metropolitan area, marking the highest debut ratings for an SBS drama this year.

Ahead of the broadcast of episode 3 on the 25th, still cuts have been released showing Kang Chul-yi (played by Yook Sung-jae) and Yeori (played by Kim Ji-yeon) wrapped in tension, watching something intently in the palace at night.

The icy expressions on Kang Chul-yi's face and Yeori's wide-eyed, terrified look make even the viewers hold their breath. Especially, Kang Chul-yi covering Yeori's mouth hastily to silence her screams hints that the entity they've encountered is far from ordinary.

Following this, Kang Chul-yi and Yeori are seen facing each other, with Yeori looking shell-shocked and Kang Chul-yi gripping her shoulders firmly, his eyes filled with determination, heightening the tension. This raises curiosity about what they have witnessed in the palace and the grand events they will be entangled in.

In the previously aired episode 2, Yeori learns from a well ghost (played by Song Soo-yi) that Yoon Gap's (played by Yook Sung-jae) spirit was devoured by a massive vengeful ghost, while a shocking revelation is made that the prince (played by Park Jae-jun) is possessed by the eight-foot-tall ghost, sending chills down the viewers' spines. With Kang Chul-yi and Yeori's sighting in the palace possibly linked to the eight-foot-tall ghost, anticipation is building for episode 3 of 'The Haunted Palace', promising an exciting exorcism adventure.

'The Haunted Palace' airs its third episode on the 25th at 9:55 PM.
