After an 11-year journey with SM Entertainment, Red Velvet's WENDY has embarked on a new chapter with the fledgling agency ASND.
ASND announced on the 25th, "We are thrilled to have signed an exclusive contract with WENDY, a member of Red Velvet. We're excited to work with an artist of such proven talent across various fields." They added, "We will also actively support WENDY's activities with Red Velvet. We're committed to helping WENDY shine even brighter and are grateful for her trust in ASND."
Previously, ASND had teased the signing of a new artist through their official social media channels, sparking anticipation.
Since her debut as a member of Red Velvet in 2014, WENDY has been beloved by fans for hits like 'Ice Cream Cake', 'Red Flavor', and 'Psycho'.
In 2021, WENDY ventured into solo activities with her first mini-album 'Like Water', and in March 2024, she released her second mini-album 'Wish You Hell'. She has also been in the spotlight for her contributions to various drama OSTs, including 'Goodbye', 'Because I Love You', and 'My Day is Full of You'.
Additionally, WENDY has served as a judge on shows like Mnet's 'Build Up: Vocal Boy Group Survival' and KBS2's 'The Ddanddara'. For several years, she has also showcased her smooth hosting skills as the DJ of SBS POWER FM's 'WENDY's Young Street'.
Meanwhile, joining WENDY at ASND are fromis_9 members Park Ji-won, Baek Ji-heon, Lee Chae-young, Lee Na-gyung, and Song Ha-young.
