Wonder Girls Hyelim: The Supermom Who Chose to Teach English to Her Children Herself over English Kindergarten

Celebrating her fifth wedding anniversary, disbanded Wonder Girls member Hyelim has emphasized her justified pride in English education.

Gracing the cover of the May issue of the women's monthly magazine, celebrating its 60th anniversary, Hyelim showcased the bright and positive energy she continues to bring through her various endeavors as an idol, author, translator, actress, and broadcaster.

Having married Taekwondo player Shin Min-chul after seven years of dating in 2020, and soon celebrating their fifth anniversary, Hyelim openly expressed her boundless love for her family.
Hyelim said, "My husband has been like a deeply rooted tree, consistent from the beginning of our relationship to now. He's not only a wonderful husband but also the best dad. I couldn't ask for more," adding, "We believe in watching over our children from a step behind, hoping they grow up happy and free."

Hyelim's next goal is to create her own method of teaching English.

Known for her proficiency in four languages, she has been particularly focused on English education for her children, already causing a stir with her 'mommy-style English' through social media and broadcasts. She also expressed a desire to "create an English teaching method that is accessible for children through fairy tales or simple picture books, yet also learnable for mothers."

After giving birth to her second son at the end of last year, Hyelim is currently active as a host on KBS World Radio's 'Hyelim's Wonder Hours' and shares her parenting life on the KBS' reality show 'The Return of Superman'.
