A scene where Kim Ji-yeon from 'The Haunted Palace' is attacked by a possessed Shin Seul-gi has been revealed.

Premiering on Friday, the 18th, SBS's new Friday-Saturday drama 'The Haunted Palace' (written by Yoon Soo-jung, directed by Yoon Sung-sik) is a fantasy romantic comedy drama. It follows the story of Yeori, a shaman who rejects her fate as a medium, and Kang Cheol-i, an Imoogi trapped in the body of Yeori's first love, Yoon Gap. Together, they face off against a vengeful spirit haunting the royal family, leading to a tangled mess of bodies and souls. Director Yoon Sung-sik, known for dramas like 'Mr. Queen' and 'You're the Best, Lee Soon-shin,' teams up with writer Yoon Soo-jung, who penned 'The King's Face' and 'Sassy Go Go.'

In this drama, Kim Ji-yeon plays 'Yeori,' the only granddaughter of a famous shaman, who possesses extraordinary spiritual abilities but chooses to live as an artisan specializing in eyeglasses. Shin Seul-gi takes on the role of 'Choi In-seon,' the only daughter from a prestigious family, known for her pure and honest nature.

On the 17th, the production team of 'The Haunted Palace' released stills capturing a tense moment where Yeori is under attack by In-seon.

Yeori is seen standing defenseless in the middle of a bustling street in broad daylight, while In-seon's silhouette is captured charging at her from behind, heightening the tension. What stands out is In-seon's appearance. Dressed in a simple white outfit, far from what one would expect from a noble lady, and with a face covered in blood, she delivers a shocking image. Moreover, In-seon's gaze, filled with madness, is enough to send chills down anyone's spine, raising questions about what has transpired between Yeori and In-seon.

Meanwhile, Yeori engages in a fierce physical struggle with the possessed In-seon, further intensifying the suspense. Suddenly, an unknown entity begins to strangle Yeori, leaving her gasping for air on the ground, shocking viewers. The mystery of the entity attacking Yeori and how she will overcome this crisis fuels curiosity.

With a cast of unique actors like Yook Sung-jae (playing Yoon Gap/Imoogi Kang Cheol-i), Kim Ji-yeon, and Kim Ji-hoon (playing Lee Jung), 'The Haunted Palace' is already generating buzz before its premiere. The tense rivalry between Kim Ji-yeon and Shin Seul-gi, along with their unpredictable relationship, promises a rich storyline. The stark contrast between the two characters' first encounter piques interest in the upcoming broadcast, as 'The Haunted Palace' promises a whirlwind of events from the start.

'The Haunted Palace' is set to premiere on Friday, the 18th, at 9:50 PM, following 'Buried Hearts.'
