Set to air on May 6th and 7th, the new SBS drama 'Spring of Youth' (written by Kim Min-chul, directed by Kim Sung-yong) tells the story of 'Sagye', a star from a top K-pop band who gets kicked out of the group. As he navigates the ups and downs of college life, he meets 'Kim Bom' and finds a way to make a spectacular comeback in this youthful music romance.
Directed by Kim Sung-yong of 'The Veil' and 'My Dearest', and produced by the renowned FNC and SBS, known for their hit dramas, 'Spring of Youth' promises to be a must-watch. The drama introduces the upcoming band 'AxMxP' with vocalist Ha Yoo-jun, actress Park Ji-hoo, and 'N.Flying's' Lee Seung-hyub, creating a fresh synergy with their visual appeal, rivalry, and romantic comedy elements.
On the 16th, a 50-second teaser featuring Ha Yoo-jun, Park Ji-hoo, and Lee Seung-hyub was released. It starts with Sagye (Ha Yoo-jun) and Kim Bom (Park Ji-hoo) running towards each other on a lush campus. As Sagye catches Kim Bom from falling, he realizes, "The moment I saw Kim Bom, I knew I came here to meet her," heightening the excitement.
The teaser continues with Kim Bom playing the piano while Sagye can't take his eyes off her, creating a romantic atmosphere. However, Kim Bom suddenly presses a key and quips, "Can't you see? Are you crazy?" sparking a playful chemistry. Sagye, following Kim Bom everywhere, exudes a charming puppy-like vibe and boldly declares, "I'll join the band too!" This surprises the charismatic leader of Hanju Band, Seo Tae-yang (Lee Seung-hyub), but Sagye confidently asserts, "I'm exactly the talent you've been looking for," showcasing his presence as a world-class top star from 'The Crown' band.
The teaser also shows Sagye, Kim Bom, and Seo Tae-yang forming a band and enjoying a harmonious jam session, enhancing the fresh and vibrant feel. Sagye, putting headphones on a teary-eyed Kim Bom, wonders aloud, "I was curious why I keep thinking about Kim Bom," as he is drawn to her by the sound of her music box necklace. Kim Bom, surprised, asks, "How do you know my song?" piquing curiosity.
Additionally, as Sagye and Kim Bom accidentally fall together, getting close enough to feel each other's breath, Sagye reflects, "It's fate that we met." The teaser also features a guitar battle between Sagye and Seo Tae-yang, raising anticipation for this 'youth band romance.'
Finally, the teaser shows Sagye struggling with sheet music late at night and Kim Bom waking up from a dream of sinking into deep water. Returning with a bright face, Sagye holds Kim Bom's hand, saying, "I need to know why your song appears in my dreams," heightening curiosity.
