Ailee and Choi Si-hoon appeared together on the April 15th episode of tvN Story's 'Kim Chang-ok Show 3.' The couple is set to tie the knot on April 20th. Choi Si-hoon gained some recognition from his appearance on Netflix's 'Single's Inferno' (2021-2022).
When asked how they met, Ailee shared, "We first met when a friend asked if they could bring along a close younger friend. As we talked, I found him to be thoughtful and kind. We kept in touch and eventually went to a god concert together. Our hands kept bumping while clapping, and when he held my hand, I didn't mind at all," revealing how their relationship blossomed.
Despite their upcoming wedding and the love in the air, the couple appeared on 'Kim Chang-ok Show 3' to discuss a significant issue. Ailee cautiously explained, "This might be a concern we have to carry for the rest of our lives."
Ailee expressed her frustration, saying, "Because my husband is often in the media and online, people compare us or create false stories, which is hurtful. He works hard at various jobs, but people think he's unemployed. He's an influencer and also works at a company. Yet, people assume I'm the only one working and supporting us, which upsets him. It's hard for me too because there's nothing I can do to change that perception."
Choi Si-hoon opened up, "After appearing on 'Single's Inferno,' many rumors started, and it felt like my life was being invalidated. I didn't want to be in the spotlight anymore. Meeting Ailee and deciding to marry brought attention back, and with it, more rumors. I work really hard, and it's frustrating."
He continued, "The stress from work and these rumors has been tough. Sometimes I find myself expressionless, like a robot. I've spent long periods just sitting in my car or in an empty room, trying to manage my emotions," he shared, revealing his emotional struggles.
Ailee defended her fiance, saying, "He doesn't want to hear those rumors, so he even tells me not to spend money." She expressed her sadness over his struggles, adding, "If he hadn't met me, he wouldn't have to deal with this scrutiny. I'm so sorry, but I'm also incredibly grateful that he chose me despite everything," she said, tearing up.
