
Actors Kim Shin-rok and Seo Hyun-woo have been chosen as the hosts for the opening ceremony of the 26th Jeonju International Film Festival.
Kim Shin-rok is known for her exceptional acting skills, bringing depth and uniqueness to her roles across various genres. She has received praise for her nuanced performances in dramas like "Beyond Evil" (2021), "The Kidnapping Day" (2023), "Undercover High School" (2025), and films such as "Be Escape" (2022) and "The Plot" (2024). Her ability to bring characters and stories to life has been widely recognized.
Notably, her performances in "Reborn Rich" (2022), Netflix series "Hellbound Season 1" (2021), "Hellbound Season 2" (2024), and Netflix film "Uprising" (2024) have captivated audiences worldwide. Additionally, Kim Shin-rok will appear in the TV drama "Your Taste," which will be screened at the Jeonju International Film Festival for the first time, allowing her to connect with audiences through the "Cinema, Dam" program.
Seo Hyun-woo is also celebrated for his ability to deeply immerse himself in his roles, earning a reputation for his strong acting skills. Known as an actor who "lives in the scene," he is praised for his unique interpretations and the depth he brings to his characters.
His filmography includes standout performances in movies like "The Man Standing Next" (2020) and "Decision to Leave" (2022), where he showcased his subtle inner acting and strong presence. On TV and OTT platforms, he has become an irreplaceable actor with roles in dramas like "My Mister" (2018), Wavve's "One Day Off" (2023), "The Fiery Priest 2" (2024), Disney+ "A Shop for Killers" (2024), and "Uncle Samsik" (2024), earning love from both the big and small screens.
As hosts of the opening ceremony, the two actors will welcome filmmakers and audiences to the festival. They are also part of Just Entertainment, the official partner of this year's Jeonju Cine Tour, and will engage with audiences through the "Jeonju Cine Tour × Majung" program during the festival.
Kim Shin-rok previously participated in the 2022 Jeonju International Film Festival's Korean Short Film Competition with "Be Escape," while Seo Hyun-woo was part of the 2021 Korean Competition with "Aloners." Their past involvement with the festival adds to the anticipation for their roles and activities at this year's event.
The 26th Jeonju International Film Festival will take place from April 30 (Wednesday) to May 9 (Friday) across Jeonju, including the Jeonju Film Street.
