After publicly apologizing for a live broadcast incident involving drinking with TV personality Jeon Hyun-moo, singer BoA has opened up to her fans about her genuine love for music.

In the early hours of the 15th, BoA took to Weverse to share, "Hello, this is BoA. Over the past few years, I've faced challenging times both professionally and personally." She continued, "I believed I was doing my best, but I realized that my approach might have made some people uncomfortable." This was a rare glimpse into her personal struggles.

BoA further explained, "I used to think that simply doing what I was told would lead to success. But as the world changed and I changed, I found myself repeatedly questioning, 'Is this where I truly belong?'" She added, "Despite everything, I couldn't let go of music because without it, my life feels like it would completely fall apart," expressing her deep passion for music.

She went on to say, "In any form or fashion, I wanted to connect with you all through music. Even in moments when I felt like I couldn't get back up, there was always music and all of you." She expressed her gratitude, saying, "I don't know how much longer I'll be able to perform on stage, but I believe there's still a burning potential within us. I want to reignite that energy with you. Thank you to everyone who has always believed in me, worried about me, and quietly supported me."

Recently, BoA made headlines after hosting a live SNS broadcast from her home with Jeon Hyun-moo, where they were drinking. The broadcast drew attention not only because their friendship was not widely known but also due to some comments made about comedian Park Na-rae, which were deemed inappropriate.

In response, BoA apologized, saying, "I am sorry for mentioning Park Na-rae in her absence and for making inappropriate remarks." She extended her apologies to Park Na-rae.

BoA, who made her debut in Japan in her mid-teens and quickly rose to the top, is a trailblazer in K-pop history. She is one of South Korea's leading female solo artists and singer-songwriters. Since 2014, she has also been serving as a non-executive director at SM Entertainment.
