The film 'The Old Woman with the Knife' is teaming up with publisher Wisdom House to launch a 'Text Hip' marketing campaign. This concept, which means "reading is cool," encourages people to read physical books and share related photos on social media.

'The Old Woman with the Knife' is an action drama that depicts the intense showdown between 'Jogak,' a legendary killer who has been eliminating human "cockroaches" for over 40 years, and 'Tuu,' a mysterious assassin who has pursued him all his life. Based on the novel of the same name, the film has been invited to prestigious film festivals, including the Berlin International Film Festival, raising anticipation among both moviegoers and fans of the original novel.

The original novel 'The Old Woman with the Knife,' written by Koo Byung-mo, who also authored 'Wizard Bakery' and 'Gills,' is considered one of his masterpieces. Since its first publication in 2013, it has been praised for its compelling narrative and strong characters, with comments like "the most groundbreaking protagonist in Korean literature" and "a must for film adaptation." It was also selected as one of The New York Times' "100 Notable Books," proving its status as a bestseller beyond Korea.

With the film adaptation, 'The Old Woman with the Knife' has been building excitement among fans of the original work. In collaboration with Wisdom House, the film is offering marketing strategies that allow audiences to immerse themselves in the "world of killers" even before its release.

It is available for purchase at bookstores nationwide, both online and offline.

Additionally, on the 26th of this month, a 'The Old Woman with the Knife Immersion Screening' will be held at Lotte Cinema World Tower. Attendees will read the prequel book 'Pashae' and watch the film 'The Old Woman with the Knife.' Tickets for this event sold out immediately after going on sale, reflecting fans' eagerness to explore the expanded universe in a new way. 'The Old Woman with the Knife' plans to continue unveiling various events to enhance the movie-watching experience.
