Fourteen-year-old singer Kim Taeyeon opened up about the challenges of balancing schoolwork with her singing career.

At the showcase for her first full album, "Excitement," held at Ilchi Art Hall in Gangnam, Seoul, on the afternoon of the 9th, Kim Taeyeon expressed, "I'm thrilled to greet my fans on such a special day. It's my first full album, so I'm both nervous and excited."

Now a middle school student, Kim Taeyeon candidly shared, "Middle school is nothing like elementary school. Elementary was like paradise. The older students used to say, 'Those were the good days,' and now I understand what they meant. Friendships change, and the academic workload is tougher, which makes it challenging."

When asked where she finds the inspiration for a full album, which even adults find challenging, Kim Taeyeon explained, "It's all about the fans. They've been waiting for me, and I felt I needed to give back that love, which motivated me to create this album."

MC Kim Sung-joo jokingly asked if she could be more honest, to which Kim Taeyeon humorously replied, "There are days when I don't feel like practicing, but my mom is my motivator. She pushes me hard, saying, 'If you don't practice, you won't improve,' which always makes me laugh."

Kim Taeyeon's first full album, "Excitement," features 11 tracks, including the double title songs "Encore" and "River of Time." Born in 2012, Kim Taeyeon learned traditional Korean singing, pansori, at a young age and gained fame as a prodigy in both traditional and trot music, finishing fourth in TV Chosun's "Miss Trot 2" in 2021.
