The Jeonju International Film Festival (co-chaired by Min Sung-wook and Jung Joon-ho) has officially invited the TV drama 'Tastefully Yours' for a special screening this year. This marks the first time a TV drama has been officially invited to the Jeonju International Film Festival.
Produced by KT Studio Genie and Shortcake, 'Tastefully Yours' is a coming-of-age romance about Han Beom-woo (played by Kang Ha-neul), a "recipe hunter" and heir to a food conglomerate who acquires small restaurants, and Mo Yeon-joo (played by Go Min-si), a chef running a one-table restaurant without a sign in Jeonju.
Directed by Park Dan-hee, known for 'Coinlocker Girl' (2014), 'Hit-and-Run Squad' (2018), and 'D.P 1,2', and created by Han Jun-hee, the mind behind 'Weak Hero Class 1,2' (2022), the drama is written by Jung Soo-yoon, who penned '
Hope or Dope 1,2'. The series, centered around Jeonju and its cuisine, was entirely filmed on location and stars Kang Ha-neul, Go Min-si, Kim Shin-rok, and Yoo Soo-bin.
The first two episodes of 'Tastefully Yours' will premiere at the Jeonju International Film Festival. On May 4th, a 60-minute Q&A session with the audience will follow the screening, featuring director Park Dan-hee, creator Han Jun-hee, and actors Kang Ha-neul, Go Min-si, Kim Shin-rok, and Yoo Soo-bin.
At 5 PM on the same day, the 'Cinema, Talk' event will take place on the outdoor stage. This 15-minute session, held at the J Stage within the festival zone, offers a chance for filmmakers and audiences to enjoy the springtime in Jeonju together. During the 'Tastefully Yours' Cinema, Talk, director Park Dan-hee, creator Han Jun-hee, and the cast will meet with the audience after the Q&A.
Following its premiere at the 26th Jeonju International Film Festival, 'Tastefully Yours' will be available on Genie TV, ENA, and Netflix starting May 12th at 10 PM. The 26th Jeonju International Film Festival is scheduled to run from April 30th to May 9th, 2025, across various locations in Jeonju, including the Jeonju Film Street.
