On April 4th, the first episode of 'Gil Parasite' was uploaded to Gil's YouTube channel 'Shining Gil Sung-joon.' Despite recently undergoing surgery for a fractured right wrist, where a 2.5cm metal piece was inserted, Gil appeared in good spirits.
During the broadcast, Gil also expressed his ongoing remorse for his past DUI incident. He emphasized, "Reflecting is a lifelong process. I think about it when I go to bed, when I wake up, even when I go hiking."
Gil spontaneously joined a live broadcast with another host, where over 500 viewers tuned in and bombarded him with direct questions.
One viewer asked, "Are you really not on good terms with Gary?" To which Gil clarified, "No, there's nothing like that between us," dispelling any rumors of discord.
Leessang, formed by Gil and Gary in 2002, is considered a significant group in the history of Korean hip-hop, having been active for 20 years. However, their activities were halted in 2017, and Gary announced a temporary disbandment in March 2022, leaving many fans disappointed.
Gil did not shy away from sensitive questions during the live broadcast. He even used a filter that transformed his appearance to that of a teenager, showing his adaptability as a YouTuber and asking viewers to look forward to his future content.
