HYUNGWON, a member of the group MONSTA X, is set to make an appearance at 'ASEA 2025'.
The 'Asia Star Entertainer Awards 2025 presented by Zozotown' (ASEA 2025) will be held on May 28 and 29 at the K Arena Yokohama in Yokohama, Japan. On April 3, the ASEA organizing committee officially announced HYUNGWON's participation.
HYUNGWON enlisted in the military on November 14, 2023, and has been diligently fulfilling his duties as an active-duty soldier. With his discharge scheduled for May 13, anticipation is building for his new and exciting endeavors post-military service, starting with his inclusion in the 'ASEA 2025' lineup.
HYUNGWON will be co-hosting the awards ceremony on the second day, May 29, alongside actress Kim Hye-yoon and Younghoon from the group The Boyz. Although Hyungwon was the first to be approached for the MC role, the announcement was delayed due to his military service.
Debuting in the music industry in 2015, HYUNGWON has established himself as a standout performer with exceptional live performances and production skills. In 2023, he expanded his musical range by forming the unit SHOWNU X HYUNGWON with the group's leader, SHOWNU. Known for his versatility, HYUNGWON has also ventured into acting, television shows, hosting, and DJing as DJ H.ONE. His multifaceted talents are expected to shine at 'ASEA 2025'.
Fans can also look forward to the full group activities resuming soon. The day after his discharge, on May 14, HYUNGWON will join SHOWNU, MINHYUK, KIHYUN, JOOHONEY, and I.M to celebrate MONSTA X's highly anticipated 10th anniversary.
