
The film 'The Match,' starring Lee Byung-hun, has maintained its position at the top of the box office for a week straight.
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computer network for movie tickets, 'The Match' attracted 57,737 viewers nationwide on the 1st. The total number of viewers has reached 826,977.
Released on the 26th of last month, 'The Match' has held the number one spot at the box office for a week and is on the verge of surpassing the 1 million viewer mark. Audience ratings are consistently in the high 8s to low 9s, suggesting that word-of-mouth buzz is likely to continue.
'The Match' tells the story of South Korea's legendary Go player Cho Hun-hyun (played by Lee Byung-hun), who, after losing a match to his student, uses his innate competitive spirit to make a comeback. The film stars Lee Byung-hun and Yoo Ah-in.
