The much-anticipated second match of the Korea-Japan showdown is set to be revealed on SBS' 'Kick a Goal.'

Airing on the 2nd, 'Kick a Goal' will showcase the epic journey of both teams as they prepare for the long-awaited rematch between these fierce rivals.

The first Korea-Japan match, held last October, marked the first international competition in 'Kick a Goal' history and was a hot topic, drawing a 7.6% viewership rating in the Seoul metropolitan area according to Nielsen Korea. The Japanese team narrowly clinched victory with a 4-3 score, leaving the Korean team eager for redemption. Now, six months later, both teams are back to reignite the passion of viewers.

Ahead of the broadcast, a video call between the head coaches, Lee Young-pyo of Korea and Masakiyo Maezono of Japan, was released, capturing attention. Coach Lee Young-pyo, determined to avenge the previous loss, hinted at a "revenge match," while Coach Masakiyo Maezono, with a relaxed demeanor, responded, "For Korea, it's a revenge match. For us, it's just a rematch." Despite the friendly exchange, both coaches kept a close eye on potential player changes, setting the stage for a strategic battle. The intense rivalry between Coach Lee Young-pyo, who is eager to restore pride, and Coach Masakiyo Maezono, who dreams of maintaining an undefeated record, promises an exciting showdown.

In addition to the news of lineup changes for both teams, updates on the Japanese team, known for their strong teamwork, were also shared. Notably, 'soccer goddess' Mashima, a key player in the first match victory, revealed, "I've started learning Korean. Watching the broadcast, I noticed the Korean team's skills have improved. I'm nervous but excited to play again."

Takahashi, now the vice-captain, expressed her determination, saying, "Our defense will be impenetrable. Our goal is to not concede a single point to Korea." Meanwhile, 'goal-getter' Saori has been training tirelessly from the early hours, with the team dedicating themselves to rigorous practice. All eyes are on how the Japanese team, a powerhouse in women's soccer, will fare against the revamped Korean lineup.

The beginning of the Korea-Japan rematch, with Korea seeking revenge and Japan aiming to continue their winning streak, will be unveiled on 'Kick a Goal' airing Wednesday, the 2nd, at 9 PM.
