
Actor Lee Jong-suk has donated 100 million won to support victims of recent wildfires.
According to his agency, A-Man Project, on the 27th, Lee Jong-suk contributed 100 million won to the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association to aid residents affected by wildfires in the Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam regions.
The Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association, led by President Song Pil-ho, plans to use Lee Jong-suk's donation for emergency support and relief supplies for residents in the wildfire-affected areas. Hope Bridge is currently providing emergency relief supplies to the wildfire sites in Uiseong County, Gyeongbuk, and Sancheong County, Gyeongnam, as well as Andong City, Gyeongbuk. They have deployed laundry and mental recovery vehicles to temporary shelters and are considering additional support in collaboration with local governments if needed.
Previously, in 2022, Lee Jong-suk donated 200 million won to Hope Bridge to help neighbors affected by wildfires on the East Coast. His consistent charitable activities during national disasters have brought his total donations to Hope Bridge to 300 million won. Shin Hoon, Secretary-General of Hope Bridge, expressed gratitude, saying, "We deeply appreciate Lee Jong-suk's continuous and heartfelt generosity. Such solidarity and concern provide great strength and comfort to those affected."
Lee Jong-suk has been actively supporting national disaster relief efforts. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he donated protective suits worth 100 million won to the Korean Medical Association. Last year, he contributed 100 million won to support pediatric patients at Seoul Asan Hospital and vulnerable patients. Additionally, he has supported young adults preparing for independence and children from crisis families through the international relief NGO Good Neighbors. His cumulative donations amount to 1.1 billion won. Every year, he continues to extend his helping hand to those in need, showing unwavering commitment and care.
