'The Match' Dominates Ticket Sales & Reservations, Aiming for Box Office Glory
The Match

The film 'The Match,' starring Lee Byung-hun and Yoo Ah-in, has taken the top spot in both ticket sales and reservations on its opening day, setting its sights on box office success.

According to the ticket reservation statistics on the 26th, 'The Match' holds the number one position with a 29.8% reservation rate. The number of tickets sold has surpassed 72,000. The film, which received positive reviews at pre-release press screenings, has become a hot topic in the off-peak theater season.
The Match

'The Match' tells the story of South Korea's legendary Go player Cho Hun-hyun (played by Lee Byung-hun), who, after losing a match to his student, uses his innate competitive spirit to challenge for the top once more. Lee Byung-hun and Yoo Ah-in portray Cho Hun-hyun and Lee Chang-ho, respectively.

Currently, the box office is led by 'Mickey 17,' which has held the top spot for an extended period but is now seeing a decline, with daily audiences dropping to around 10,000. 'The Match' is expected to draw over 100,000 viewers on its opening day, as it coincides with Culture Day.
