
Mukbang YouTuber Tzuyang is pursuing a lawsuit for damages against fellow YouTubers Gujeyeok and Jujak Gambyulsa, who have been sentenced to prison for blackmailing her.
On the 24th, the first hearing of Tzuyang's lawsuit took place at the Seoul Central District Court, Civil Division 212 (Judge Kim Hye-ryeong). Tzuyang is seeking damages of 100 million won from Gujeyeok and 50 million won from Jujak Gambyulsa.
It was reported that Tzuyang filed the lawsuit against them in September of last year. The two were accused of extorting 55 million won from Tzuyang in February 2023 by threatening her with negative information. They were arrested and charged in August of last year.
Last month, on the 20th, the Suwon District Court, Criminal Division 14 (Judge Park I-rang), sentenced Gujeyeok to three years in prison, while Jujak Gambyulsa received a one-year sentence with a three-year probation. The court noted that Gujeok showed no signs of remorse.
Additionally, lawyer Choi, who was involved in the case, was sentenced to two years in prison. YouTuber Karakyula received a one-year sentence with a three-year probation, and YouTuber Crocodile was fined 5 million won.
The second hearing for Tzuyang's lawsuit against Gujeyeok and Jujak Gambyulsa is scheduled for May 12.
