Actor Kim Nam-gil has announced that he will continue the "Together We Walk" campaign this year, which supports young independent artists, following its launch last year.

The cultural and arts NGO "Gil Story" is accepting applications for the second cohort of the "2025 Together We Walk" program until April 9. This year, they plan to select 20 artists, expanding the program fivefold compared to last year.

The "Together We Walk" campaign aims to provide creative opportunities and support for young independent artists who have been unable to showcase their artistic talents due to social and economic challenges. This year, the campaign will revolve around the theme "Here I Am" and will run throughout the year.

Gil Story is calling for young independent artists with talent and passion in the cultural and arts fields to apply. They will select 20 individuals and provide each with a creative grant of 3 million won. The selected artists will receive mentorship from experts in various fields, guiding them through the entire creative process. Their completed works will be showcased at an exhibition at the end of the year. This initiative is not just a one-time support but aims to provide practical experience to help these young artists establish a sustainable career, thereby laying the foundation for their economic independence.

Kim Nam-gil, the representative of the campaign, stated, "Watching the first cohort of 'Together We Walk' complete their projects and participate in the year-end exhibition and concert last year, I realized the potential for growth when we collaborate within a community. I hope that young independent artists, who have not been able to pursue their artistic talents due to social and economic difficulties, can find emotional satisfaction through their art and receive encouragement and support from the public." He added that "Together We Walk" signifies walking steadfastly alongside young independent artists on their journey.

The "2025 Together We Walk" campaign is open for applications from young independent artists aged 20 to 34 until April 9. Those selected will receive up to 3 million won in creative support and mentorship. Detailed information about the application process and the campaign can be found on the Gil Story website.

The cultural and arts NGO "Gil Story" is a nonprofit organization where artists come together to create social impact by addressing societal issues through public art activities and promoting the value of sharing.
