On the March 24th episode of SBS' 'Same Bed, Different Dreams 2: You Are My Destiny,' Jin Tae-hyun and Park Si-eun made a long-awaited appearance.
The couple returned to the show after two years. In August 2022, they had to say goodbye to their baby, Tae-eun, and have been supporting each other through the grieving process. Now, they are back on the show.
Upon their return, the hosts could not help but admire Park Si-eun's beauty, noting that she looks as stunning as ever. Kim Gura humorously added, "Park Si-eun seems to be getting younger, but Jin Tae-hyun... not so much," which made Jin Tae-hyun react with playful annoyance.
The couple revealed that they have not given up on having a child and have been diligently working out and staying healthy over the past two years.
Park Si-eun expressed, "We wanted to come on the show to encourage others not to give up. We are preparing every day with hope."
Additionally, Jin Tae-hyun shared that they have two more daughters in their lives. "They aren't legally our family, but they call us mom and dad, rely on us, and share their lives with us. Although they are adults and don't live with us, we share love and time as a family," he explained, surprising everyone.
Lee Young-pyo expressed admiration for their actions, while Jin Tae-hyun humbly downplayed it with a shy smile.
During the episode, the couple revisited a traditional Korean medicine clinic they had visited five years ago. The clinic, specializing in infertility, had expanded significantly, drawing attention as many people were waiting in line.
After a long wait, Jin Tae-hyun and Park Si-eun received their consultation. Jin Tae-hyun jokingly asked the doctor if their previous visit had contributed to the clinic's fame.
The doctor replied, "While that might be a factor, the increase in infertility cases is due to broader societal and environmental changes," with a slightly awkward smile.
The doctor then checked Park Si-eun's pulse, noting, "As we age, ovarian and uterine functions can decline. However, compared to others, you're doing well. Your pulse and overall health have improved, so you should be in a good position to try for a baby," providing relief to the couple.
The doctor advised, "Think of the medicine as a tonic rather than a treatment to avoid stress," drawing attention.
Jin Tae-hyun expressed relief at the positive diagnosis, as he was concerned about his wife being hurt by unfavorable results due to her age.
The doctor also checked Jin Tae-hyun's pulse, emphasizing, "Understanding and listening to each other is key. The most important thing is to cherish one another."
Later, the couple participated in a charity marathon to support children in need. Park Si-eun took on her first half marathon and completed it in 2 hours and 4 minutes, earning applause.
Park Si-eun reflected, "I've always found a way to cross the finish line. Completing something gives it meaning. I believe that as long as you don't give up, you can achieve anything. This applies to running and my life. There's no reason to give up on having a child, so we're determined to keep trying," earning everyone's support.
