The group NewJeans has announced a halt in their activities following a court's injunction decision, prompting a response of disappointment from ADOR.

During their performance at Hong Kong's 'ComplexCon' on the 23rd, NewJeans stated, "This might be our last performance for a while. We have decided to comply with the court's decision and pause all activities. It wasn't an easy choice, but it's necessary for us right now."

On the 21st, ADOR won a court injunction against NewJeans members, which prohibited them from signing contracts and maintaining their agency status. ADOR reportedly sent staff to Hong Kong to support the members as their agency.

However, it seems the two parties did not meet at the event. Additionally, merchandise featuring the name NJZ, which NewJeans members created for their independent activities, was reportedly sold at the venue.

In response, ADOR stated, "We're disappointed that NewJeans proceeded with a performance under a different name and announced a unilateral hiatus despite the court's decision. We hope to meet with the artists soon to discuss the future."

Previously, in an interview with Time magazine on the 22nd, NewJeans said about the court's ruling, "We don't expect the K-pop industry to change overnight. This might be the reality in Korea."
