On the 24th, Gold Medalist's legal representative, L.K.B & Partners, announced, "Today, we have filed an additional criminal complaint against Kim Se-ui, the operator of Hover Lab, on charges of intimidation under the Criminal Act."
Previously, on the 20th, Gold Medalist filed a complaint against Hover Lab for violating the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes (distribution of footage recorded using a camera, etc.), after the channel aired private photos of Kim Soo-hyun during a live broadcast. However, on the 21st, just a day after the complaint was filed, Hover Lab once again broadcasted the same photos during another live stream.
Regarding this, L.K.B & Partners criticized the actions of Hover Lab, stating, "Such conduct constitutes another criminal act and is an incomprehensible act of defiance against the law and investigative authorities."
Additionally, the law firm revealed that during live broadcasts on the 21st and 22nd, Hover Lab made threats against Kim Soo-hyun, saying they would release a video of him unless Disney+ canceled the release of the upcoming original series Knock-Off, in which he stars. The firm further stated, "During the broadcasts, Hover Lab repeatedly mentioned the infamous ‘Nth Room’ case, insinuating that Kim Soo-hyun had committed crimes similar to those involved in the case and that there was video evidence of such actions."
They emphasized, "These claims, like all previous allegations made by Hover Lab, are completely false. No such video exists. Their actions amount to serious criminal acts that cannot be overlooked, which is why Gold Medalist has taken swift legal action by filing an additional complaint."
Earlier, on the 10th, the family of the late actress Kim Sae-ron alleged through Hover Lab that Kim Soo-hyun had been in a relationship with Kim Sae-ron for six years, beginning in 2015 when she was still a minor. Gold Medalist responded by stating that while Kim Soo-hyun did date Kim Sae-ron in the past, their relationship only began after she became an adult. Following this, Hover Lab continued making accusations against Kim Soo-hyun, including leaking a private photo of him washing dishes at Kim Sae-ron's home.
