The group NewJeans has announced that they will be temporarily halting their activities instead of returning to their agency, ADOR.

During their performance at 'ComplexCon' in Hong Kong on the 23rd, NewJeans shared, "Today might be our last performance for a while. We have decided to comply with the court's decision and pause all activities. It wasn't an easy decision, but it's a necessary one for us right now," they said tearfully.

Previously, on the 21st, the Seoul Central District Court's Civil Division 50, led by Chief Judge Kim Sang-hoon, accepted ADOR's injunction request against NewJeans members, which prohibited them from engaging in independent activities under the name NJZ. As a result, NewJeans cannot continue their activities independently.

Member MINJI stated during the Hong Kong performance, "We knew from the start that this wouldn't be easy. While we accept the court's decision and the process, we will continue to speak up to protect each other. We do not regret this choice," she emphasized.

HYEIN also distanced herself from ADOR, saying, "Some might think it would have been better to just stay with ADOR, but for us, this was about protecting ourselves. We believe that by doing so, we can come back stronger."

MINJI added, "We plan to take some time to pull ourselves together and then move forward with renewed strength. Please know that this is not the end, and we will definitely return, hopefully with bright smiles when we meet again."

NewJeans will focus on the main lawsuit set to begin next month.
