Park Hyung-sik's Counterattack in 'Buried Hearts': How Will He Use Cha Woo-min's Character?
Treasure Island
All eyes are on how Park Hyung-sik will use Woo Hyun's illegitimate child in his quest for revenge in 'Buried Hearts.'

SBS' Friday-Saturday drama 'Buried Hearts' (written by Lee Myung-hee, directed by Jin Chang-kyu) has captivated audiences with its addictive storyline that keeps viewers hooked. The 8th episode, which aired on the 15th, achieved a nationwide rating of 12.3%, setting a new record for the series. As 'Treasure Island' reaches its midpoint, anticipation is high for how long its success will continue.

On the 20th, the production team of 'Buried Hearts' released a scene featuring Daesan Group's chairman Cha Kang-chun (played by Woo Hyun) and his illegitimate son Ji Sun-woo (played by Cha Woo-min), drawing significant attention. The meeting between this father and son duo raises questions about its impact on Seo Dong-joo's (played by Park Hyung-sik) revenge plot.

In the photo, Cha Kang-chun is seen sitting barefoot on a bus stop bench, a stark contrast to his usual image as the head of Daesan Group. In reality, Cha Kang-chun is gradually losing his memory. His condition has worsened to the point where he wandered outside barefoot and got lost. This is a far cry from the intimidating figure who could silence many with just a word, evoking both sympathy and unease.

In the next image, Ji Sun-woo stands in front of Cha Kang-chun. Ji Sun-woo is unaware that Cha Kang-chun is his biological father. Having only encountered him a few times, it is intriguing to see how Ji Sun-woo will react upon finding Cha Kang-chun lost. Despite appearing surprised, Ji Sun-woo's gentle approach to Cha Kang-chun suggests a familial bond.

Previously, Cha Kang-chun revealed to Seo Dong-joo the existence of his illegitimate son, Ji Sun-woo, stating that Ji Sun-woo should become Cha Sun-woo and take the helm of Daesan Group. Before losing his memory, Seo Dong-joo grew closer to Ji Sun-woo and used this connection to pressure Heo Il-do (played by Lee Hae-young), who was eyeing the chairman's position. With his memory returning and a vow for revenge against Yeom Jang-sun and Heo Il-do, Ji Sun-woo's existence becomes a crucial card for Seo Dong-joo. The question remains: how will Seo Dong-joo play this card?

Regarding this, the 'Buried Hearts' production team hinted, "In the upcoming 9th episode airing tomorrow (21st), Cha Kang-chun's condition will worsen. This will ignite anxiety in the hearts of several characters as Seo Dong-joo and Ji Sun-woo's relationship develops. We hope viewers will focus on the intricate storyline and the detailed performances of actors Park Hyung-sik, Woo Hyun, and Cha Woo-min."

'Buried Hearts' Episode 9 will air on Friday, the 21st, at 9:50 PM.
